Photo shoot at the MOSES Conference. Picked up a ton of new ideas in Wisconsin. We had such a great time Attending this event.
When we got back to our home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota we went straight to work. We started off by planting many variates of seeds in our greenhouse to get a head start on the season.
After planting over 100,000 seeds we decided to take a break and start transplanting some tomato plants which were started earlier under grow lights. Now they will have room to breathe and grow in their own individual pot.
With old faces coming back to help and new ones coming into the picture, we have already created a Strong Friendship. And with more to come it will only grow stronger!
Our greenhouse started so bare, empty and lifeless over the Winter. But it was time to get things cooking. In less than 3 weeks it went from this ——>
This week we started to prepare our high tunnels for our earliest of plantings. We are adding amendments to the soil and tilling them in. Then we will install our irrigation and mulch.
As you can see we are hard at work! We have been trying to sit on the snow to melt it. It seems to be working. We are very excited for this season to warm up and get going. With our first round of plants going into the ground very soon, we have much work ahead of us to get the first week of boxes ready to go. We are looking forward to serving all of our CSA members this year and spreading the love of our Vegetables. We can’t wait to see all of you at our harvest events this year.
And as the sun sets, A new day begins. (hopefully snow free)
